We looked at the campground website and booked our spot. Come to find out, what is on the website is nothing like the park. If you look at the web map. It only shows three or four trees on the back of the park between the park and the river. In reality, you cannot even see the river from the campground due to all the brush and heavy tree line!. River access was very poor and very muddy! You have to use the river access for the campground next door. The camp employees were also not very helpful! They kicked me out of the bathroom by the pool area because they told me the pool was closed, although I just wanted to use the restroom. Also, my inlays came in the day after us and 15 minutes before the check in time. They said they would have to pay a $10 early check in fee even though it was only 15 minutes early and there was no one in their site. I told them then that they would just park their motorhome in the middle of the drive for 15 mites till it was time and they finally gave in. I am all for rule enforcement, but I think they can be a bit flexible too, they weren't hours early, just 15 minutes. There were many reports from other guests about silly stuff like that from the management there. If you go here, do go just because of what you see on the web site!

Very nice park! Great staff! Great Wi-Fi reception! Has to be the nicest kept and staffed private park that we have stayed at! Only wish sites were just a hair bigger. Will be back for sure!

Very plain park. Clean bathrooms,spacious sites. Very nice park if you don't mind the section 8 projects right next door. Loud boom music from time to time and children from the projects coming to our campsite saying things we did not want our children hearing. If you are OK with all that then it is a nice place to stay. Visit the local drug store for ice cream and local drink. Also visit the train caboose.

Very nice park! Clean, nice pool and very friendly staff. The only thing is that WiFi is weak. Only avail at office area.

This park would be nice if it was taken care of. The grass was very high and we had to give the staff a hard time to get it mowed! Even though they knew ahead of time we were coming, they did not mow the grass of clean the sites. The cable tv is a joke, 3 channels is all we could get. The sites were very hard to back into and were not anything like what the map shows! There are a lot of permanent campers that don't look very nice! The view was not existing because of the bushy trees everywhere. We also paid extra for premium sites with solar lighting and the solar lights did not even work at any of the sites!!! This place needs a lot of work!!

This is parking lot camping at its worst! Literally door to door camping! Not much nice to say about this place! Avoid it if possible.

We found the people here very nice and very helpful! The bathrooms and showers were awesome! The sites were very spacious with lots of room between sites! We were very happy with the park, the only flaw was that it is still under construction and there are a lot of unfinished projects. This place will be great in a bout 6 months or so!

Very nice, new park. Very clean and easy to find. The only thing we did not like is that the camp sites are very close together and the park almost looks like a big parking lot. It does have a nice view at the end of the park. The staff was very nice and helpful and the town of rusk was pretty neat.

This park was very rustic and a bit primitive. Mom and Pop type business, very nice people providing excellent service, they brought us firewood twice a day and checked in on us all the time. The bathrooms were clean but unfinished looking. Lots of area for kids to play, but beware of the poison oak. Nice boat ramp and fishing bank.Nice place if you don't mind simplicity.There are a couple of campers that have been there for a long time, fishing camp type stuff.

Nice place with lots of trees, clean bathrooms and nice pool. Long entrance to the park off the main road is very twisty. Nice place overall, older but very nice state park.

We loved this park. The park is fairly new and the staff is very helpful. Nice view of the lake and very nice boat ramp and beach area. Some of the sites have a drop off and are quite unlevel. Last time we were out though, we were told that there is a plan in the works to correct these sites. There is also a kids playground being built. The park has scheduled activities for the kids throughout the day and on holidays they have things such as hayrides. The cabins here are also very nice and spacious. As well as the park bathrooms and showers are very nice and new.
